Dashboard not displaying after log in

  • Hi,

    I’ve installed wordpress on my windows machine within apache (with php and mysql already set up).
    After I log into the admin area the index of the wp_admin is displayed. When i click on index.php the dashboard is displayed. When I click to view a post or page I also get the index view and not the post.
    Sample url https://localhost:81/wordpress/?p=1

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • have you tried with any other posts? Also, make sure all the files are correctly installed in your wordpress..

    Hi,

    Check with these options:

    – disable all plugins from database
    – upgrade your wordpress to the latest version
    – Change your theme to default one

    Hi,

    Thanks for your replies. I had tried all of the above. The problem as I should have known was with the apache set up. I wiped everything and used xampp to install apached, mysql etc.
    All working perfect now.
