Hi everyone, I am in the process of building a new site
(if youre courious heres the link: https://www.RateItForMe.com)

I was wondering if someone can help me remove some of the blocks under the Dashboard (for registered and logged in users)

As of now, the default for registered users is AUTHOR and with the CAPABILITIES plugin I set the permissions for author as follows:

    Delete Published Posts
    Read
    Edit Published Posts
    Upload Files
    Publish Posts

And basically what I am looking for is registered users to be able to post images, and rank/rate other posts and thats it!

How do I go about that?

I am trying to remove the extra stuff under the dashboard (Which I also renamed the link to POSTINGS) and want the dashboard to be a place to allow logged in visitors to post images. I dont want them to hear about WordPress Updates and ETC….

Is there any plugin that modifies the dashboard? Or is there another method?

    thanks in advance,
    DP

Also just a note to others, in order to have registered users post you have to set the default to Contributor under General settings.

then you can install Capability Manager plugin and give READ, UPLOAD FILES, EDIT POSTS, EDIT PUBLISHED POSTS, PUBLISH POST permission or set according to your needs!
