dashboard messaging plugin?

Hmm. Wouldn’t be all that difficult to write a little plugin that inserts Wordspew into the Dashboard…

While it is not a shoutbox or whiteboard, I am developing a private messaging system plugin for WordPress, under the code name “mPress.” The code is still crude and not really ready for general release at the moment, but perhaps it may help you in its current state.
