Dashboard menu not there

    I just started using WP, and am very confused that I’ve seen many tutorials using a menu underneath the home icon and “dashboard” text on the upper left of the admin panel.

    I haven’t yet gone through and deactivated all my plugins to see if any of them are the cause… I first wanted to make sure that the current version of WP (I’ve had the problem with 2.9.1 and 2.9.2) actually DO still have this menu.

    For example, a tutorial was discussing how to get at some simple ‘blog stats’ under the dashboard menu. I’m unable to find this and want to make sure it’s actually missing before I go messing around trying to fix it!
