I am about ready to have a cow, blow a gasket, rip my own head off etc.! I want to delete some plug ins…seems easy enough right? Well I want to BULK delete them but the dashboard menu has these annoying explanatory bubbles that pop up and won’t close. One in particular, ( Customize Content For HOmepage etc.) is driving me nuts because it spontaneously opens and it covers the confirmation of the bulk delete…IT IS SSSSOOOOOOOOO annoying! I have tried going to another section, reloading the page, closing and reloading the page nothing works. Yes, I know I can delete individually but the bubble is still open…I just want to scream! Does anyone have a fix for this problem?

Is it me? I don’t see how but I am willing to entertain the notion if it will help me fix this incredibly frustrating problem. THANKS! ??

I’m fairly confident that WordPress isn’t responsible for that behavior. A couple of things you can try to narrow down the culprit..

    A) Temporarily switch to the default WordPress theme and see if the symptom changes.

    B) Temporarily disable ALL of your plugins and see if the symptom changes.

THansk. I didn’t realize that a theme could affect how the dashboard interface works. I would have thought that was a wordpress issue. But I would be happy to try your suggestions ?? THat would be to deactivate one by one then, since I can’t access the confirmation button for the bulk action because of the pop up issue. ?? LOL CHeers let me go try that.

Not necessary. You can use your ftp client to simply temporarily rename the plugins directory. Disable Plugins

Thanks Clayton it does appear to be a problem with the theme I chose.

Oh well, that gives me a reason to move on and explore another one.

    I appreciate your help.

It did not occur to me that the theme itself might interfere with the proper functioning of the Dashboard.
