I just updated wordpress from the Dashboard from ver2.03 to ver3.05 . Upon doing so I immediately began getting this error when attempting to access the dashboard: “Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”

The front end of the site is working fine. I can even bring up the login page. But once I try to log into the dashboard I get the error.

    Any suggestions?

If you don’t allow the website you’re accessing to set cookies, it may become confused and send you in a redirect loop. To see if this is your problem, follow the tips in Websites say cookies are blocked .

    Clear cookies and try again

I cleared the cookies for my site and the problem persists.

Still Hoping someone can help me with this.

Did you really upgrade from version 2.03 to 3.05? That’s a pretty big leap forward. I probably would have done a staged upgrade, myself, but I guess it’s too late now. ??

I would probably first try reinstalling 3.0.5, manually, and see if that helps.

I went from 3 to 3.1 and am getting this same problem. My front-end gets this redirect loop (my back-end is accessible).

I created a second WP site and it is having the same problem.
