• Hi

My problem only shows up while I’m in the Dashboard, and never on the actual site.

Once in a while (quite common since the last update) – when I preview a post, or open a post, or anything for that matter – I get a white background with html code. This usually goes away on the first or second refresh of the page.

Luckily, the refresh remembers what I’ve been typing so I haven’t lost any text, but it’s irritating nevertheless.

Mine’s a live site and I don’t have the option of disabling all my plug-ins. But this problem has only cropped up in the last couple of months. If it’s a plug-in update that’s causing the problem how do I find it out without disabling everything?

Thanks in advance for any help.

To find out which plugin causes the problem, disable all and activate them one by one until you find the one that causes the problem. Don’t worry, it won’t affect the data or your site.

    Thanks, Krishna.

So I deactivate one, then work for a few days waiting for the problem to reappear, and then rinse and repeat?

I was hoping for an easier way but maybe this is the only sure way to find out?

You could create a duplicate of your site and use that one for testing purposes – there isn’t usually a simple way to find a problem like this.
