• After upgrading, many of my dashboard items are missing. I am missing the pages, posts, and plugins options. Also under appearance and settings, my only options are to change my calendar settings. Thus, I cannot disable any plugins or change any theme settings.

My hosting site, BlueHost can’t find any issues on their side and even after restoring to the previous WP edition didn’t correct things.

    Any ideas?

  • Same thing has happened to me, with a twist. Now everything is gone from the dashboard but Posts/ Media/ Pages/ Comments/ Profiles/ Tools/ Shortcodes.
I have many add-ins. A change I made shortly before everything disappeared is the addition of the Ultimate TinyMCE add-in.
If I could disable or delete that, I could at least disprove that had anything to do with this debacle.
I will look into how that might be done.

IGNORE THAT: I was logged in as a user with limited authority. Duh!
So easy – just log out and log back in as Administrator – problem solved.
My apologies for getting Ultimate TinyMCE involved in this post – a great plug in that had NOTHING to do with my mishap.

Have you tried using ftp or the file manager your hosts provides renaming the plugins folder to pluginsold?

    Thanks.

I tried switching user login to make sure I was loved in as the admin. I actually have two different admin logins for so that I always have a back-up in case of issues. I had the same problem logged in under either.

Yes I tried using the FTP file manager to rename the plugins folder but it didn’t work. I ended up copying all of my data/info and starting over with a complete fresh WP install. All is working fine now, but had to rebuild the site. I didn’t have any issues with any of my other sites. Tech support at BlueHost couldn’t find the issue either. Still baffled.
