• The site has been up for 2 mths and working fine until I received a false alarm from AVG which coincided with me noticing the site was not loading for an hour. I virus checked the site and everything came back ok and AVG confirmed it was a false alarm and changed their virus definitions.
This morning, I can get to the dashboard fine, but no site is showing on either Chrome or IE, just a blank screen or the diagnose connection problems on IE.

I have spoken to hosts 1&1 who deny any responsibility and no updates have been done to the site in the last 24 hours. It was working fine yesterday.

    Site is here.

I’d appreciate any help you can give.

  • Just so you know, I’m seeing your site fine — so it definitely seems like a problem on your end with your antivirus software.

You might check the AVG forums (and you could try a manual update), and/or download a different antivirus program (I’ve happily used Avira for years, though I used to use AVG until I started having trouble with it), turn off the AVG, install the new program and see if your problem remains.

Hello. I can confirm with tazzle that your website pull up fine, I tested it in each browser. So it looks like your personal computer was attacked and not your site, which is good since it means that your visitors can still access your website without getting infected. I’d definitely recommend scanning your computer to make sure you get rid of any virus that is preventing you from viewing your website.

Thanks guys – I’m very relieved it is just my pc but perplexed as to why it is happening (I don’t have AVG by the way, I use AVAST after problems with AVG!). The scan says it is clear but at least it sounds like it isn’t wordpress issue.
    Thank you again.
