Dashboard is empty

Hi, I was doing some editing on the site and I deactivated the plugins on my ftp for a while. I simply renamed the plugins folder to plugins_off. Then I renamed the folder back to plugins, but to my surprise everything in my wordpress dashboard was disapeared. However, the site works, all the plugins are there, just nothing can be edited.
