• Hi guys,

So I haven’t used my website for almost 2 years and thought I would give it another go. It all displayed correctly, but when I log into the dashboard, the interface is completely blank (white screen). The toolbar on the left still remains, but that is all.

I have deleted all themes except TwentyTen, and have deactivated my plugins by renaming the file in Filezilla. Now my website is completely blank.

Anything else I can try to restore the desktop so i can start working on my site again. Alternatively, is there a way i can download my posts so I can rebuild my website on a new installation of wordpress?

    Cheers for your help guys.

  • I have the exact same thing happening. I hadn’t used the site in 3 months and when I went to post, the dashboard was blank except for the left toolbar, which is nonfunctional. I also have tried deactivating my plugins by renaming that folder to the .hold.

I have scoured the forums for an answer to why this is happening. The most common answer is a plugin that updated and now is incompatible, but if that’s the case then renaming the plugin folder to .hold should have taken care of the problem.

So what specifically are the next steps to take to get the dashboard back?
