The other thing that’s a major problem is that, as the buttons don’t show up – for instance, the “categories” button doesn’t show up – only the word “categories” – as shown here:

    https://thinkertothinker.com/dashboardscreenshot03.jpg

… there is no way to display the various categories. There is no “drop-down” function available.

I’m wondering whether the problem could be caused by some conflict of programs.

I remember reading somewhere (?) some time ago that some antivirus or firewall programs can sort of strip away the look of sites, toolbars, and menus.

    Still researching ….

I found this “Browser test page” @

    https://www.b2knet.com/

Using this site, my colleague has discovered that his browser is not recognizing CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)!

I wonder what could be causing this?

After an exchange of screenshots – of my colleague’s blog and of other websites – it looks like this problem is not at all confined to the Dashboard, and is not a WordPress problem.

My colleague’s computer is, for some reason, not displaying any (or hardly any) CSS, regardless of what site he’s viewing.

Since he’s experiencing the problem in both Explorer and Firefox, it doesn’t seem to be browser-related.
