• Hi All,

I’ve got a mindfulness blog site that I’m trying to get going here: https://www.everyday-mindfulness.org/

I’m trying to set up and maintain an email database using MailChimp, which I signed up for this morning. I then went into the dashboard and downloaded a plugin for including an email registration form to link up with the MailChimp account. The plugin was called “Easy MailChimp Forms” and was well rated and downloaded. It also claimed to be compatible with 4.1.

I then went to activate the plugin, and the whole dashboard crashed, giving me this error on the screen:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/mindful/public_html/wp-admin/includes/screen.php on line 488`

Luckily, the site is still working, but I can’t get into the dashboard any more. Can anyone help?

  • You can deactivate the problematic plugin by logging into cPanel and renaming the plugin folder. See if that helps.

Yes, that worked. The dashboard is now working again thank you.

Any idea why activating that plugin would crash the whole thing? I was kinda hoping to play with that today.
