Dashboard comment size increases by >100 days with no comments

    I am puzzled by the dashboard comment count. My dashboard (at a Glance box) says 500+ comments and this increases by over 100/day (had less than 400 yesterday).
    Yet, I only have 2 real comments on the site. Activity accurately shows only those 2 comments and all the fields are “0” for pending,spam,trash etc.

    If that can be of any help i found the problem. A plugin called Follow-up email wrote “action_sheduler” and logged it in the comment table. I was able to delete and disable that feature and those records were successfully removed from the table.
