If I select in the backend according to self-defined categories as a checkbox, they will take over the store in the frontend. But if I call the product again for further processing in the backend, then no more checkboxes are selected. Thus, it is no longer recognizable in the backend which categories (self-created fields) the product is assigned. We use the latest WordPress version with PHP 7.2. – Are there similar incidents of other users who have the same problem and have you found a solution for it?

  • Hi talkuvit,

We’re sorry, we didn’t quite understand what you meant by “If I select in the backend according to self-defined categories as a checkbox, they will take over the store in the frontend.”, so we need to ask:

    1) Where are you selecting these categories (e.g. in the Edit Catalogue page… in the Edit Product page..)?

    2) By “self-defined categories as a checkbox” are you referring to Custom Fields you’ve created? If so, can you let us know what the “Type” is set as, as well as the “Input Values” (if applicable)?

    3) Could you send us the URL of your catalogue?

If it helps, you can add screenshots in this thread of what you’re seeing (https://postimg.org is an easy way to do it)

    Troubleshooting:

If you edit your custom field, scroll down to the point where you added “input”

“Input values”, are there spaces between the values?

    If so, remove the spaces!

Spaces were removed and the error was corrected.
