    HELP!
    (please)

I am in a big mess here, I cannot manage my blog because everytime I try to access the dashboard, I get a blank screen with just two question marks at the top left-hand corner.

All of the accounts, users and administrative, have the same issue — no dashboard.

Seriously, ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

    The blog is at preservelenoxmountain.org

    thanks….

  • Try renaming your plugins folder so that all plugins are deactivated (it may be that causing it). If that works, reactivate them one at a time, log off and back on – that way you can see which one is casing the problem.

If that doesn’t work, try downloading a fresh copy of WP from this site and uplaoding it (It won’t affect any our your themes or plugins, only the core files will be overwritten, and you probably haven’t touched that any way).

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I am able to get in. Now will try to bring back the plugins… Right now I have a bunch of pink-colored error messages like this one:

The plugin wp-cache/wp-cache.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

What would the best procedure for re-activating them???

    thanks again

If you refresh the page that error should go away, and then just go in to your Plugins section in your admin and activate the ones you want one by one.

After each, I’d try logging out and back in, and then check your site works fine. Hopefully doing that will allow you to find that one that caused the error.

Okay, I’ve got all the plugins (that I want) reactivated and I can still login…

    However (a HUGE however)

Although the home page is working great, none of my “read more” links nor is the link to any page working

I get an error like this…

    The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

(same problem in IE and Chrome)

    What could be causing that?????

Okay. Just to document the fix.

My blog is hosted at smallbiz yahoo.

They have a custom plugin that allows customizable permalinks to work with their servers — I had not reactivated that plugin. Once I did my issue with the “read-more” links and links to pages began working again.

The plugin lives in the root of the plugin directory (instead of having it’s own subdirectory) and is ylinks.php

Finally, Thanks Duck_Boy!!! u saved my bacon… buy u a beer next time ur in the berkshires…
