• On dashboard normally when you click on a tab bar it toggles the section open/close.

Out of a sudden the toggling no longer working. I tried on browsers IE6, Chrome and Firefox3. On click a closed section is not expanding at all. It happens to dashboard and plugins. Consequently I am unable to configure those plugins.

IE reports 3 errors (while the other two don’t):

    line: 70
    byte: 1
error: expected identifier, string or number
    code: 0
    URL: https://localhost/wp-admin/

    line: 443
    byte: 3
    error: ‘cdtime’ is undefined
    code: 0
    URL: https://localhost/wp-admin/

    line: 501
    byte: 1
    error: incorrect indicator
    code: 0
    URL: https://localhost/wp-admin/

Anyone can suggest what I can do now?

  • Try deactivating all plugins and check to see if this resolves the problem. If it does, activate the plugins one by one – checking the post after each re-activation – until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Thanks esmi for your trouble shoot suggestion. By that I managed to find out the bug comes from Advertising Manager v3.4.1.

I have been using that plugin for a long time. It is the latest update causing the trouble. I shall inform the author.

    Same Error here… It’s the Ad Manager…

It’s no supprise quite a few plugins will need fixes to work with 2.8.
