In the admin panel, I clicked on DASHBOARD/HOME/ at the top of the menus on the left. Under “MORE ACTIONS” I went to “Manage widgets or menus” and click on “menus”. I added earlier the plugin “Max Mega Menu”. Under the “Add menu items” label the “Max Mega Menu” settings box was under there and already enabled, anyway it said it was. The truth is nothing under “Add menu items” was enabled. The whole panel was faded. So I went in and deactivated all the plugins and went back to check the panel and everything was still disabled. So I know it wasn’t any pluins. How can I fix this?
    Thank You

  • WordPress itself does a bang-up job with menus under the Dashboard–> Appearance–> Menus (I think).

Adding a plugin for menus should be something you do if the built-in menu system doesn’t fill your needs. And only after making sure the built-in capabilities are exhausted.

So if you do add a plugin you’ll need to explore its documentation to figure it out and turn to that plugin’s support for further help.

We here on the general support forums can’t support every plugin as we’d have to install that plugin ourselves in order to explore it and learn its capabilities.

And, frankly, I’m a little leery of installing just any old plugin that I don’t need. I’ll do it sometimes to help an OP with an issue if other channels fail and if I know it’s fairly safe.

I don’t think there’s a menu plugin on any site I’m responsible for.

Like I said, I don’t think it’s the plugin. I deactivated all the plugins and it was still doing it. But just in case you could be right, I’ll go to a “Max Mega Menu” forum.
    Thank You!
