Is there anyway of recovering my plugins? If not, I’ve just lost all of my info that these plugins had. This will suck, but not the end of the world. The blog is fairly new. I had some 12 plugins though.

    Any advice? Thanks!!!!!!!!

  • Hi,

You can either restore the backup from your end or contact hosting service provider to restore the plugins directory backup.

If they does not have the backup then you need to create the plugins directory manually and install all the required plugins again.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

I also checked it from the other direction: cPanel’s File Manager, which it sounds like you used to do the delete, does not appear to keep deleted files in the .trash folder like I thought it did. I just tested it.

Nothing much is lost. All the options that you had configured in respect of the plugins will be safe in the database. Only the files of plugins had been deleted as per your post, perhaps along with the directory called “plugins”.

No sweat. Try with the sysadmin of your hosting provider as Shane G suggested or create a folder called plugins inside wp-content (skip it if it already exists) and upload all those plugins. You may get the info regarding what plugins had been there, if you access the plugins panel through admin interface.

Thanks much for the quick responses.

To save myself more headaches, I just went threw and re-uploaded all the plugins I could remember. And it was great to see that most of the stats and info that those plugins take in was not lost and I didn’t have to add certain info again on most of the plugins.

Well, this is good enough for me. Thanks. ??
