    After updating the plugin from version 2.2.3 to 2.3, I notice that color scheme is light. I cannot change it to dark even though I set and force it as dark.

    This code I use in my single.php

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[fbcomments width="728" scheme="dark" count="off" num="5" countmsg="wonderful comments!"]'); ?>

    I clear browser cache, website cache (ZenCache plugin), CloudFlare cache (since I am using it) but the dark scheme cannot be implemented. It really gives me a headache.

    Now I revert to version 2.2.3 and dark scheme is back. Do you have any suggestion to fix it?

  • Hi Kelek,

    After further inspection, technically, the plugin is correct in v2.3. On the official FB Comments page, changing the color scheme to dark indeed keeps it light. Makes no sense to me.

    You can either revert to 2.2.3 or wait until Facebook redesign this. My assumption is that if they update it it’ll happen before July which is when the old API becomes more deprecated.

    Thank you Alex. I understand now.
