    Hello everybody,

since the Burst plugin update an hour ago (to version 1.5.4), the daily total statistics no longer work for me.

The live counter is working and data is still available until yesterday. But since the update the total for today is 0. Before the update there were several hundred.

    Can anyone help?

    Best, Markus

I think something went really wrong with that update.

I have now cleared all cache. Now the daily total shows over 2000 visitors, before the update there were 300. That can’t be right.

In addition, the graphic shows the correct numbers until the update; but nothing has been counted here since the update.

@markus12g do you have any php or db errors in the log? We’ve updated on all our own sites, without any issues.

If you can check in phpMyAdmin in the burst-summary and burst-statistics table what the contents of the last dozen or so rows is, and send that to us (support(at)burst-statistics.com), then we can compare the data and see if there’s a mismatch between the summary data and the statistics data.

What is your previous version, was that 1.5.3?

completly the same here, totally screwed up statistics. Unrealistic visitor counts since the newest update. Before the update, everything was working

Can you try adding to the wp-config:

    define('BURST_RESTART_SUMMARY_UPGRADE',true);

Then if the page has loaded a few times, remove it again?

Thus should refresh the summary tables. If this doesn’t help, can you send an export of your summary and statistics table to support(at)burst-statistics.com?

Then we can try to reproduce the issue, and investigate it.

For clarification, I’d like to add that you do not have to worry about the loss of the correct data. In this update, we have included an additional database table to improve the loading times of the dashboard data. This new table is an aggregate of the original data, which means that the original data is still available and has not been removed.

The upgrade script for creating the new table did not go to plan on your websites. This is frustrating for you. But I hope you are relieved that the data is still there. We will do our best to help you fix the issue.

Hi, I am also experiencing this error.
No more data is displayed. The individual days are displayed correctly, but a longer period is displayed as 0.
Looking forward to your solution, thx

Aside from the above mentioned restart of the summary table upgrade, please also install the plugin WP Crontrol to check if your cron is running correctly.

Cron needs to be active to complete the table upgrade in the background.

You can search for a cron job starting with ‘burst’, and check if it runs.

    WP-Config is customized.
And these are the crons: https://ibb.co/xYhbBFH

    thx

Without seeing the actual data of the tables that are not upgrading correctly, this is difficult to debug. So we’ve created a version which skips the usage of summary tables for existing websites. Can you check if this resolves your issue?

You can download the zip by clicking on the green ‘code’ button, then deactivating the current version, and install the downloaded zip file as a normal WordPress plugin.

We’ll release a version that resolves this tomorrow, using the above GitHub version.

    Thanks for your patience.

In case you want to try the GitHub version, please do not delete the existing plugin while installing the new one until the update has been released, as deleting it currently clears the data.

    Hello and thank you.
With the GitHub version it works properly again.
When the update has come, can I delete the GitHub version again?

    thx

I would recommend to remove the plugin using FTP, to prevent any unwanted data deletion. This will be fixed in the update we are releasing today, but this fix is not included yet in the GitHub version, which is why I recommend to remove it manually.

    Hi all,

We have reverted data querying until we have figured out what went wrong. So updating to the 1.5.5 version will fix the issues. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for your patience!
