Daily Crashing of mySQL database
-
Despite using WordPress for 8 years, this is my first ever support request, so please be gentle with me ??
My client’s website at https://fantasywire.co.uk seems to crash the MySQL server most days (or goes super slow) at around 15:15 UTC.
A have a managed VPN with TSOHost in the UK. I have liaised with them to fix this issue, but they say it’s the website causing the problem, so outside their scope.
TSOHost say they have to reboot the server most days (although they didn’t tell me about this until pressed).
I have carried out all the recommendations for fixing the “Error establishing a database connection” error that is thrown, but this mostly assumes I can’t get into my site at all. In my instance, I can get into it fine, except from early afternoon, until some time later when TSO reboot my server.
My issue is, that I don’t know what I should be looking for, so I have no idea how to fault find this. I don’t even know how, or if I’m able to reboot the server from cPanel, which might help whilst trying to solve this.
If you could recommend an initial course of action, that would be really great.
