daily back up

  • Is there a way to let my database back up itself daily and send it to my e-mail box without me having to tell it when to back up?

  • Try the WordPress Database Backup plugin. I think it has email functionality too.

    I have a back up plugin but I want the wordpress to back itself up at a certain time during the day.

    Maybe I’m misinterpreting your question, but this is what I found in the plugin’s readme file:

    If you are using WordPress version 2.1 or newer, you can schedule automated backups to be sent to the email address of your choice.

    EDIT: I just noticed you are using version 2.0.11, so this won’t be an option unless you upgrade.
