• Hello,

I’m having some trouble with changing the font on my blog. I would like a new font in the header and the entire blog is in cyrillic in UTF-8. All of the words show up just fine but when I try to change the font in the code, the cyrillic only transitions back and forth between two fonts. I installed the english version of wordpress and have tried to change the header font within different themes but I continuously have the same problem. Do you have any suggestions of how to fix this? Thanks!

You will have to give more details about this> WHERE exactly are you trying to change the font?
(and remember: your computer can display only fonts that are installed on it!)

And never ask display questions without giving a link…

Oh sorry, I’m kind of new to this. Here is the link:

I’m trying to change the font in the header to something Old English looking but when I change it in the stylesheet it only switches between two fonts.

Do you think the problem is just that there are not many different fonts on normal computers that appear in cyrillic?

Another idea is to put the title in a specific font into a jpg file and replace the header there.

You can NOT change the font to something that doesn’t exist. Does the selected font type have a cyrillic version? If not, forget it.

Yes the selected font “Old Cyrillic” does exist, and now I got the font to appear on my computer when I view the page from the computer I’m working on. I downloaded this specific font from the internet because my version of windows did not come with much of a variety of fonts in Cyrillic. Now, my question is, will the font appear for people viewing the page from other computers if they don’t have this specific font downloaded onto their computer. If it doesn’t, do you have any other solutions for getting this specific font to appear on every computer? Thanks!

No, they will not see it, as you couldn’t see it before installing it on your computer.

You can make an image, a header image using those fonts and replace the current blog title with that image.

Another option might be to use this plugin:

they say it is good for “almost anything” in WP.
