• I haven’t been able to connect to CVS for the past couple of days. When attempting to update, I get asked for saxmatt’s password. If I attempt to do a brandnew checkout, I get a “[checkout aborted]: Error reading from server cvs.sourceforge.net: -1: No such file or directory” error.
    Any help appreciated.

  • Hi Cena,
You are being asked for Matt’s password, I guess, because he accidently included the CVS subdirectories from his checkoed out copy in the recent beta package (Oops).
There isn’t anyway around that other than editing the Root file in each CVS subdirectory and changing the information therein to
    :pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/cafelog
As for the error message on a new checkout. Sourceforge are still having proplems with their CVS servers, and anonymous checkouts are fed from backup server(s) which are still overloaded and drop connections all the time. You just have to keep re-trying ??
The other thing to consider is whether your command line or gui settings are correct for the checkout.

Looks like it’s back up. Thanks for the info. ??

I still can’t access CVS. I’m tried in both WinCVS and Tortoise, and I didn’t change my settings or anything. o_O
