Cutting off of Post & Page Text

So here is my main problem. I write a very large chunk of text (over three paragraphs) and it looks fine within both the Page and the Posts category, but when I click update or publish, it deletes most of the text, leaving only the first sentence and a half or so… any suggestions as to why this is happening?
