Customs fields drop-down list broken

  • Hi

    I’m having a huge problem with the custom fields. I’m not getting a drop-down list.

    I have 4 previous WP 2.5.1 sites – and custom fields works on all of them – although I only use custom fields on one of them.

    I have a new WP 2.5.1 site that I have installed a paid WP theme on. There’s no drop-down list on the custom fields.

    I tried:
    Reinstalling a fresh copy of WP 2.5.1
    Reinstalling the WP theme

    This didn’t work.
    Any ideas??

    Just an added thought – does anyone know which WP file the custom fields is located in? Maybe I can try resinstalling that particular file.

    Do you mean the dropdown list of custom fields on the write post page? Custom fields are stored in your database.

    Yes I mean the drop list in the write post page.

    It’s screwed up and I can’t use it. Do you know which file in a WP install has the PHP code (or whatever) for the custom fields?

    I want to try reinstalling just that file.

    I had someone look at this – they reinstalled everything – it was working. And then again today, it’s not working again. No drop-down list.

    Is this a problem with 2.5.1 ????

    Anyone have any clues at all ??????

    Hi – did this get resolved, I am not seeing the drop down list of custom fields [never have] and using 2.7.

    I can display the fields in the posts, but cant re-select them when I write a new post.

    Any clues?
