Customizr Pro v1.2.5: Customize Grid

What steps must I go to about by adding that same grid that’s on the demo to my home page?. I did some reading on the forum’s but it wasn’t elaborate on how. Is there a way I can just use pages or must I use posts. Your help is much appreciated. thank you
