Customizr menu settings not saved properly on GoDaddy Managed WP

  • I am testing the “staging” feature on Managed WordPress with GoDaddy. The themes are cloned properly but the menu structure settings are not brought across when a staging server is setup and copied from production. IT’s easy to reset the menu setting but it’s weird that even though the site is a copy these settings and some menu options are not copied across. I have images of the staging and production differences here.

    I recognize this may be hard to test, but I am happy to experiment to make the theme GoDaddy friendly so to speak.

    Note that the menus haven’t been selected either so on the Manage Menus tab of the Appearance/Menu tab on staging.

    Our version is Customizr v3.2.9

    We have added some filters into both functions.php and index.php in the child theme and they work fine.

    Thanks Colby. Good to hear. There are several other plugin features that are sometimes not brought over including the settings for Multimporter RSS plugin

    If I have the settings set on the production site already, and I choose not to overwrite the content, they seem to stick. As we do more deployments I can let you know what settings need to be reset. They are usually plugin/theme related.

    Hi Colby,

    Is there any progress on this as it was 3 months ago now? Can you let us know where it is on the roadmap now precisely?

    Every time I “pull production to staging” all my menus are lost and I have to rebuild them all again, which is starting to get a bit boring after the tenth time.

    Please let us know asap!
