Customizr: Featured pages in front page not working

Hello. I am using a Child Theme for Customizr Free, created using Childify me.

I have two problems with the Featured Pages of my site https://www.tassidelmiele.it

1) The featured pages are listed 2+1 instead of three in a line. On this same forum someone told me it is a problem of border and suggested me to use the code

body [class*="span"] {
    margin-left: 25px;
}

If I put that in the Custom CSS it works in the preview, but as soon as I click “Save and Publish” it gets changed to

body [class*=\"span\"] {
    margin-left: 25px;
}

and it stops working.
What am I doing wrong? Where should I put the code if not in the Custom CSS field of the theme?

2) The Featured pages pictures are all wrong. I have seen good Customizr sites and I get you can have both round or square pictures, and have the zoom effect enabled or disabled…
What my site does, though, is show BOTH the featured image (square) AND the white circle (not even at the center). See the site to get what I mean.
I have tried my best playing with the options available, but I can’t understand what’s wrong. All I want is round images with the zoom effect enabled (it is cool), but I can’t seem to make them work.

Help?
ps: please be as straighforward as you can in offering possible solutions… I am still at the very early stages of understanding how WordPress and php/css work, and my google-fu is not helping me atm.
