Customizing widgets

  • I would like to display add in my sidebar. Tryed to modify the sidebar.php file of my theme but nothing changes. It seems that the widgets I dragged to the right side in WP admin panel and are now displayed somehow overwrite sidebar.php.
    So I’d like to know hot to modify a widget to display the adds (I already have the code) and which one would be most appropriate for that or how to make a widget if customizing is not an option.

    Found it ??
    Though I pasted the code and nothing is beeing shown. Hopefully that’s because my account got activated recently and it will be working properly soon. If not, I’ll be back to ask for more help.
