Customizing the text of the download button

    Hi,

    Thanks for this plugin. It is working correctly for me. But I was wondering if it is possible to customize the text of the “Download” button to where the button will have different text for different files? I saw in the FAQ and saw that you can customize it globally, but I was wondering if you could customize it with different text for different files.

    (Also, in case this is relevant, I have almost no knowledge of html. I recently migrated my site from wordpress.com to www.remarpro.com and I don’t really have experience with html, other than a few really simple commands).

    G’day Michael,

    This is possible through a filter hook, but you need some experience with PHP. The filter hook is edd_free_link_label and it accepts:

    • the download label
    • the download ID
    • the arguments passed to the download form template

    If you’re not comfortable writing PHP code to customise your button labels, I recommend hiring a developer to do that for you.
