customizing the footer width

Hi, I’ve just built my website with the Rife theme and have some issues to be solved. I want to make a single column footer aligned to the left margin together with a copyright text, however, I couldn’t manage it. It automatically puts extra padding to the footing widget area.
Is there CSS I can add to make that widget aligned to the left margin?
