• I know that once an entry is password protected, you have to enter a password to read it (duh). What I want to do is put a message saying, ‘if you want the password, please email me’. Can anybody let me know the file which I can edit so I can put that message?

    Hello moshu,

I’m in the same situation except I would like to add a customized sentence for a specific post (and not a generic sentence used for each protected post) is it possible ? (in fact I need a little text before the form)

My knowledge in coding is limited to copy/paste ??
I don’t know of any way to have a customized text for each protected post, which doesn’t mean a php guru cannot come up with a solution for you…

It’ll mean a customized coding change to your index.php file and possibly your single.php file as well….. but it should be possible.

In fact an ideal solution would be to have the abstract b(just at the top of the main texte form enty) been displayed when the protection form is active
