I’ve read that you are using wholesaler as a role. To get a better idea, please share with us a copy of your site’s System Status Report: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

thank you Igor! i have read this article prior to posting this message and the one issue i come up against is the available template variables. there is not a variable for user role that i can see in the list referred to in the article.

without a variable i do not know how else to insert the customer role into the transactional email template.

since this isn’t an error i dont think the system report is needed.

I believe Igor requested for the site’s System Status Report since he wants to verify what plugin you used for your Wholesale Customers. Furthermore, you mentioned a variable for user role as well.

With that, can you please share how wholesale customers are added to your site as this is not part of the core functionalitiies of WooCommerce?

If this was added thru a third-party plugin or a custom code, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

the wholesale customer is added using the Wholesale for Woocommerce plugin from WPExperts. what i am looking for is how to insert a variable for user roles into the email. this should be an option with or without the wholesale plugin added. how would i define a subscriber or admin role in the transactional email?
