customizing mult category selection

  • I need to be able to customize the multi category plugin but dont know where to start.

    I want to have a couple of categories and subs set up like this

    Category
    _______________________
    sub
    sub
    sub

    Category
    _______________________
    sub
    sub

    and so forth

    Can anybody help me with this plugin?

    Need help on how to get to the point where I can put my own categories and sub categories in the widget?
