Customizing Menu Sections in Admin

  • Hello,

    Anyone know of a way to customize the ‘sections’ when editing a Menu in Admin? (Pages, Posts, Categories, etc / https://screencast.com/t/WI7BGTTtRAc).

    I’d really like to reorder them, change some of the labels, hide some of them etc.

    Perhaps there is a plugin or filter that I’m not finding?

  • There are some plugins for this. Search for “admin menu reorder” or “admin menu editor” and you should get some plugins you might want to try.

    Thanks Mark,

    Looks like my screencast didn’t keep – so question wasn’t clear. I’m actually talking about the different sections that you can add to a nav menu, by going to Appearance > Menus. Haven’t been able to find anything or anyway to tweak those.

    Any ideas on that?

    Ah, yes, I misunderstood.

    That may be a little trickier. I’m not really sure if there’s a plugin for that to be honest.
