    Hi

I am a beginner web designer, and am in the process of creating a blog for my first client.

I am using the Astra WordPress theme together with Elementor Pro, but would like help with the following please…

FORM: I have included a sign-up form with just an email field and submit button, but would like these to appear next to each other (in one row) as opposed to underneath each other. Is there a way to do this? I’ve played around a bit with the custom CSS (using display:inline-block etc.), but to no avail.

COMMENTS & SEARCH PAGES: I am making use of the theme’s default designs for these – have already set the custom fonts, which is great! But would love to make a few more minor adjustments, such as:

    – Capitalizing the heading and adding letter spacing (on both pages)
    – Updating style of text in button in comments section to match the rest of the site (capitalise, letter spacing, bold, remove ‘>>’)
    – Changing background colour of heading on search page
    – Removing space above search results (between results and header)

These aren’t big adjustments, but would ensure an aesthetic consistency across the blog, which would be great! I’ve tried going into the Theme Editor to make these changes but, again, to no avail.

Any help is much appreciated ??

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards,

  • Hi @samcarvalho22,

    ?Congratulations on your first client!
    ?
?Okay, for the side-by-side email field and submit button of the Elementor form, please refer to this doc.
    ?
?And for the queries related to the Comments and Search Page, would you mind to provide screenshots so we can easily understand it? And if you are also able to provide us the site URL, that would be much better.

    ???Kind regards,
    ?Herman ??

    Hi Herman

Thanks so much for your response!!

I can’t believe there is a ‘column width’ option for the form field and button, I completely missed that! Lol. So thanks so much.

Then, please see the Dropbox link below to screenshots of the Search Page and Comments Section.

The site isn’t live yet, and can only be accessed through a login, so am not sure how you’ll be able to access it? The URL, however, is theblissfulblog.com.

    Kind Regards,
    Sam

    Hi Herman

Ok great, thanks for directing me to the Support Portal!

I have created a ticket with the title ‘Customizing Comments Section in Astra WordPress’ and have included the login details.

What’s more, I figured out how to customize the Search Page! So it’s just the comments section now that I’m still struggling with.

    Kind Regards,
    Sam
