• Hello all,

I’m new to WordPress (coming from Blogger) so please excuse my lack of knowledge here, I’m still learning. I’m up and running with my blog and I would like to add something to it but I’m not to sure how. Here is the address:

    https://www.prodigalsonproductions.com/blog/

I posted a .gif to illustrate what I’m trying to do. In the middle block I would like to add content, some text and images. Since I’m still getting the hang of the WordPress platform could someone help me here. Basically what I’m asking is:

    a) How do I add the middle block?

    b) Once added, how do I align text, images, links etc like illustrated in my recent post?

    Thanks for any help.

    B

  • I have a very similar design to that, but the blocks are at the bottom and the post and sidebar are at the top (heading obviously above that). https://systematicHR.com

Unfortunately, I used more html than CSS to create it. What I did do, was start out with Hemmingway Bright which has a 3 block theme as it’s sidebar (sidebar located at bottom instead of on the side). You can simply call the sidebar right after you call the header template. Then put your post and loop below that.

I thought I would keep it simple. I’ll customize some more as I go but this is what I have so far. Simple. clean. What I really wanted to do is get rid of the three thin horizontal bars that separate but I’m not sure about what code I’m getting rid of. Anyone with a clue?

    this savage art…
