I’m missing something simple, but I cannot seem to figure out the way to add a custom border to my Basic Slideshow. I’ve been trying to add a CSS insert in the Other Options section, but I can’t get the default to change. Any help? I think I’m just getting the code syntax slightly incorrect. Thanks!

@thirstyreader – What are you trying to use currently for your custom CSS?

To be honest, I’ve tried cutting and pasting several CSS snippets that I’ve found. I don’t have a strong background in CSS, so I usually get by with trail and error. I can’t get anything to work.

Since encountering this issue last night, I now have a much bigger concern, which is: Nextgen doesn’t seem to be mobile compatible. It only shows the top portion of the photos on the page.

@thirstyreader – There are a few different items you will need to address …

The class to add the border to is: .ngg-slideshow

You will likely need to remove the padding that is being set by your theme: .post img … try working with .post .ngg-slideshow img to do that.

Since the slideshow appears to be added into an <h2> element you will need to address that specifically and set a height equal to the height of the tallest image in the slideshow (from what I can tell 400px should work). This will not be mobile compatible.
