So I figured out how to create a blog page and add content to it. [ redundant link removed ]

Now I would like to do a few simple (I think simple?) changes.

    1. How do I get rid of the search / archives box on the left side of the page?

    2. I would like to add a category menu on the right hand side. This would be categories in which I would include different blogs..How can I do that?

    3. Most recent blog section below or above the category menu.

Any help / advise will help please.

    Regards.

The stuff on the left is set under APPEARANCE->WIDGETS. Drag away the widgets you don’t want to appear, drag in widgets (like “recent posts”) where you’d like to see it.

If your theme does not support a right sidebar, you could add categories to the main menu (at the top level or a secondary one) from APPEARANCE->MENUS.

    Thank you!

Since I am pretty much learning it takes me a little time to pin point where exactly to find the widgets and move them, but pretty good direction of the page to that work.

Seems like my theme doesnt have the option of the right hand side bar, so I ended up moving the widgets I needed to the old left hand side bar.

    Hi there,

You can customize your sidebar position from Theme options left or right.

In the sidebar, you can adjust the positions of categories and recent posts using widgets. go to your dashboard > Appearance > Widgets and drag the things according to your need.

    Hope this helps.
