Customizer: Mobile/Tablet menu issues

afternoon,

I wonder if someone could give me a hand with formatting the mobile/tablet menu in customizer. I tweaked the menu to get it to ride under the logo in the header and extend horizontally and in the process, I assume, created issues far as formatting the menu items, submenus.

It’s not too bad but I’m having trouble having the
<li>s to not run across as far as they do. Should be clear when you see it. Also is there a way so that the submenus aren’t open as they are here but drop upon click or hover? They just look cluttered as it is.
