• When I try to use the customizer almost nothing responds
-the upload buttons don’t’ respond when clicked
-Toggle switches (ex. page title-> show this page by default On/Off) are not clickable
-any changes made via drop-down, radial buttons, or textfield do not prompt the option to save changes
-the tabs widgets, site identity, and menus work as they should

    Other Notes
No plugins were active during this time
I am on a multinetwork, multisite system

  • In general, I don’t think it’s recommended to edit the theme through the “Customize” option. Many theme options aren’t available there, and I usually run into the same issue as you, where the changes don’t take effect after I’ve been using it for awhile.

I find that the best way to edit the theme is to open the page you’re editing in another tab, use the Appearance >Theme Options Page, and just do a refresh on the page whenever you make changes to it in the admin area.

Theme options is not an option for this theme….at least on my screen

    I only have:
    Themes
    Customize
    Widgets
    Menus

Did you also install the Virtue / Pinnacle ToolKit in the recommended plugin section? If you don’t have that installed, then you cant access those options.

    I didn’t. I have installed the plugin.

However, now when I attempt to edit in the Theme Options section there are simply no options. I can see each section title(site header, logo options, page title, etc) but nothing pops up in the right half of the screen (its just a big empty white space). I can hover over the section titles but they don’t seem to respond to clicking.

The save and reset links work.

That’s very strange. I’ve never encountered that before.

I would probably start by going through my plugins and deactivating them one by one to see if there’s one that’s causing the problem. Maybe something like that is causing this problem in the admin area.

I tried deactivating everything (why I originally had the toolkit turned off). Do you think it has something to do the multisite multinetwork setup?

No, I don’t see any reason why a multisite setup would cause this issue. I don’t really have any idea why this is happening. I’m sure someone more experience than me will have some input soon enough.
