I just LOVE GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks but I feel frustrated since I need to keep Kadence Blocks in my plugin list to be able to do icon lists like this.

I’m talking about the blue checkmark, the green thumb up and red thumb down.

I’m not a technical guy but I was able to create those icon list as easy as ABC from the very first time using Kadence Blocks.

I would love to remove that plugin from my blog so that it does not end up being bloated.

Question 1: How can I create/design the EXACT SAME icon lists with GP or GBlocks? As easily?
2 criteria: SAME + AS EASILY.

Question 2: Same question for the buttons.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Its easy to create that list.. container and headlines…
every line of text and iccon is a headline with icon ( the icons you get it from free in svg over the web).

Containe – Headline – ad text – icon change in svg format.

Both GB’s headline block and buttons block offer the option to add an icon.

1 – To create the icon list, I tried adding a headline block.
    On the screenshot:
    – what should I select for A so as to get a text similar to the normal text on my page?
    – how do you import the icon for B? I clicked on Icon, SVG and HTML and nothin happens.

Sorry to say that I remain confused as opposed to using the GUI of Kadence BLocks (which I still want to remove to only keep GB and GP).

2 – I tried to find the same icons as for the thumb up and thumb down. I can’t find them on the web. I find others that do not look as nice. Is there a special database or way to find the very same? Or to save them from my current site?

3 – Also, if you can do so, how do you changed the icon as you do with Kadence Blocks.

    Hi @masterhealerwp,

    1.
    -Try P
-You just need the SVG code.

    2. There are some here: https://icons.getbootstrap.com/
    3. Are you referring to saving icons? You’ll need GB Pro for this. Reference: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/asset-library/

What was supposed to be as easy as with Kadence Blocks is still very confusing.

    1. What does “P” mean?
What do you mean by “SVG cod”‘. Can you please give an example if I want to use this specific icon to create the same icon list I showed in my initial email:
    – How can I insert it?
    – How can I change its color?

    3. So, regarding my initial request about icons (customized icons and colors, creating icon list…) what is feasible and what is not with the non Premium version of GB?

    Looking forward to your input.
Thank you again for your support.

    PS: LESSON LEARNED
I am a big fan of GP and GB but see by yourself:
    – My experience with Kadence Blocks = 5 seconds and 1 or 2 clicks and I had the page nicely built the way I showed it in my screenshot.
    – My experience with GP = this discussion and the need to create it while still not knowing how to do it.

It is not a harsh critics of me and I know it may be hard to receive the honest feedback of real user, but this is mine. And I only want GB and GP to be the best on the market. So I hope this experience will help the dev and GUI team improve that aspect.

    1. P stands for paragraph. It can be seen as an option in the screenshot you took – 1.A.

This is a sample SVG HTML:

    3. The way to add SVGs in GB free is through adding the complete SVG HTML in the block settings in every Block you wish the icon to appear.

    Hello,

    Thank you.

A – Customized Bullet List: Still not effective with GP and GB

I tried what was said above, using the GB’s headline block.
    Please look at this screenshot.

In 1, you can see that if I just click return after I have written my text for my first bullet, I have to start all over from sratcfh for the second and third bullet. You will see on the screenshot that there are no bullet for lines 2 and 2.

In 2, this is what I did manually. It is a painful process making you lose so much time.

In 3, this is a standard bullet list. As you can see, the bullet appears automatically. Also, the layout is appropriate, with an appropriate vertical space.

I just want to create a customized bullet list and be able to use WordPress as I have always done with many different themes, that is:
    – the vertical space is automatically set between each line of the bullet list
    – the icons is automatically inserted after you press Return.

How can I please do this?
    Thank you

You’d need custom code or a third party plugin if you want an actual list.

What you can easily do in GB is to just create a Headline Block, and duplicate it multiple times to replicate a list.
