Customize site title & tagline: position, font and/or height?

I am absolutely loving this theme!! I am, however, having trouble with the site title text. I actually really dig the font and size but it doesn’t flow with the photo I want to use for my header. Is there any way to move the site title down to the bottom of the header image? Or is there a way to make the site title and tag line smaller and left justified?

And what about the “see more” button – can this be removed? I am open to just not having a site title or tag line but that button looks super funky hanging out on its lonesome.

Any and all advice would be helpful. I am a total novice so please bare with me.
