customize ShareThis popup: make it appear above link

Hi.

I’d like to include a ShareThis button underneath my posts to encourage social bookmarking of my posts.

By default, clicking the ShareThis link opens a floating menu underneath this link.

I want it to appear above the link, similarly to the solution Boingboing uses. (Boingboing does not use ShareThis, though.)

Can I customize the ShareThis menu to do this?

(If not, what other ways do I have to do it wothout ShareThis?)
