Customize read more text

  • Hello,

    How can I customize the “read more” text?

    Instead of “Read more about [post title]”, I’d like to make it “Please read the full [post title]”.

    (I know that sounds kind of weird. It makes sense in the context of the website I’m currently working on.)

    I believe I’d do this by adding some code to my child theme’s functions.php file. Just not sure what the code would be. I tried copy/pasting the code from the plugin into functions.php and applied the customization but that didn’t work.

    Sorry for my late reply.You should be able to override this in your functions.php.
    Can you post her how you tried to do this?
    Then I can see how we can fix this for you.
