I am using a Child Theme of the Storefront parent theme for my website and When I go to Appearance – Customize – The Screen Does not Load completely. The only thing that loads is the x button on the top left, You are customizing and Hide Controls text.

If I flip my website to the Storefront parent theme, the Appearance – Customize loads up perfectly. But I need my website to run on the Child Theme because I have made customizations throughout my website.

The troubleshooting steps I have taken are;

1. Copy the functions.php file from the parent to the child. Got an error so That didn’t work and I had to revert.
2. Comment out one by one each customisation I have made on the functions.php of the child theme to see if the Appearance – Customize – Screen loads. That didn’t work.
3. Disable the plugins one by one that I thought would be the culprit. That did not make a difference.
4. Used Reset Customizer plugin but that did not work either

How do I get the Appearance – Customize – Screen to Load properly on my child theme? Could someone point me in the direction of where else I should troubleshoot or where on the child theme I should look into?
