• When I’m opening page
    mysite.tld/tag/my-cat
I see some ugly page with header
    Images tagged “my-cat”

I’ve looked through sources and found function called create_ngg_tag_post that is responsible for creating generic tag page. But I need tag pages look nice – with SEO-friendly meta-title and less confusing h1 header like
My cat (searched by tag ‘my-cat’)

So I need a way to create – yes! – some template for pages opened on NGG tags url. Of course, avoiding patching NGG sources after every update.

In NGG manual I see only guide on how to insert tag-based gallery with IGW – that’s not what I need.

@ted12 – We do not currently have a way to create “tag” templates in the same fashion as other NextGEN Legacy templates. Please keep in mind templates are a NextGEN Legacy functionality we continue to maintain for backward compatibility reasons.

As it is, this still sounds like a great idea for a Feature Request. Please feel free to share your thoughts and ideas on “tag templates/customizations” here: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/feature-voting/

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
