• I’m wondering if it’s currently possible to customize the text of the murm-form.

Right now, if I’m logged in, for example, it says:

You are currently logged in as user [username]. If you intend to request registration on this blog with this user account, just click the submit button below. In the other case you have to log out first.

Then there’s the “Message for Blog Owner” field, which says “If you and blog owner don’t know each other, it may help if you write something about yourself. Information about how you found this blog may be also useful.”

Is there a place to customize this text? I haven’t seen it under the Network Admin > Settings for MURM, nor can I find anything for it under the single site’s Settings > MURM.

I’m not looking to change any of the form fields right now (though that would be nice for the future, I know it’s already on the wishlist), but just the text.

  • I second this – the default text is awfully geeky. Who the hell knows what ‘diacritics’ are?! Plus in the US ‘required’ is used most commonly rather than ‘mandatory.’
